On October 24, 2023, the Wyoming Secretary of State issued Directive No. 2023-01 instructing County Clerks on interpretation and enforcement of Wyoming’s new “crossover voting” law.  If no new legislation is enacted during the 2024 legislative session to change the current laws, County Clerks will follow this Directive, which includes examples of permissible and impermissible actions relating to registering to vote and declaring a party affiliation.
